VINTAGE~OLD~COVERED COW & CALF BUTTER CANDY DISH~GERMANY~FARMHOUSE COUNTRY DECOR

Description

This listing is for a vintage/old, covered dish with a wonderful cow and her calf on the lid.  Made in Germany and was most likely made as a butter dish.  The bottom section looks like a woven basket and has eight sides.  In excellent condition except for a smooth area on the underside of one bottom corner.  It looks like a chip in the photo, but when I look at it closely and feel it, it appears to be where the glaze did not cover that area.  It is very smooth-could also be a very old chip, just not sure.  Not noticeable when placed on a table.  It measures 5 1/2" high x 5 1/4" across and weighs 1 lb. 5oz.  Marked on bottom~Made In Germany~.  Would also make a nice little storage container.  Please email any questions.  Thanks for looking...
