    Description

Unbranded Native American Inspired Handmade Beaded Straw Woven Tote Bag Purse
poss. Native American Handmade Beaded Straw Woven Tote Bag Purse with Zipper Top Lined
This appears to be a hand beaded bag made by a local Native American artisan out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
This is a very special Bag. It is unbranded. No labels of any kind.
It is likely Native American or Native American inspired. It is possible it is Indonesian.
It is one of a kind.
The bead work is not cloth backed and is sewn together as a beaded trim. Amazing bead work without the benefit of sewing it to cloth to form the design.
It appears to be directly sewn and then sewn to the woven bag.
The seed beads are likely plastic, in shades of red, yellow, blue, and white.
Five points with "eyes" on the front and six on the back.
The handles are completely beaded with blue and white encircling the handles of woven straw.
The bag is lightweight due to the straw, despite the heavy beading.
The strap is completely beaded. The bag is entirely woven. The reeds are dark and medium brown, light and dark tan, and some beige.
The black zipper goes across the top fully and works smoothly.
The lining is a black silky polyester fabric I believe. It does appear to have been restitched or repaired in a couple of places,
The purse does not have a separate bottom, but the straw has been woven to create a flat bottom with corner like spots.
The bag sits flat when I place objects inside. You can steam a woven bag to shape it, as I learned from watching YouTube videos.
