Wonderful 60+ year old Kay Silva Artist 5-String Banjo in amazing condition with lots of 'bling': carved heel and volute area, large fret markers, Kluson single-line tuners, a pre-EPA head, the Patented "Adjust-O-Matic " neck angle adjustment, and a delicate gold painting on the resonator. There are no dings, dents, or chips on the banjo; the neck is dead straight with no fretwear. The resonator shows a little wear from being in case and there are a couple 'weather check' lines on the back of the neck-unnoticeable unless you catch the light right. The "Artist" weighs in at 7.5 pounds, it does no have the heavy ring of the "Pro" models. I believe this banjo to be of ALL original parts save the strings and, of course, "Born in the USA". The hard case is solid but a little of the covering edge needs regluing.
