Diamond Banjolin,re furbished, John Farris ,1885 diamond Banjolin. Patented: April 7 1885, no telling the exact age ,however ,Mr. Farris sold these ,mostly ,in the late 1800's.18 frets, 21 1/2" long,7 13/16" hoop,7 1/2" pot. The neck heal was re- attached to the neck with glue and dowel.Bridge ,standard tenor banjo replacement.Brass,engraved ,tuning machines ,tuning buttons ,appear to be ivory. ( no ban when it was made) I enjoyed restoring this piece.However,problems with my left hand ,makes it unplayable ,for me. I looked great on my music room wall but I am moving.
