I'm currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable Broadway performances of the 1950's and 1960's ......... This is a rare four page preview playbill from the Original Broadway production of the JULE STYNE and BOB MERRILL musical comedy hit "FUNNY GIRL" which played the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. (The production played 17 previews beginning March 10th, 1964, officially opened March 26th, 1964 and ran for 1348 performances.) ..... The musical marked the first starring role for BARBRA STREISAND as "Fanny Brice" and also starred SYDNEY CHAPLIN as "Nick Arnstein". Featured in the cast were DANNY MEEHAN, KAY MEDFORD, JEAN STAPLETON, ROGER DeKOVEN, JOSEPH MACAULAY, BUZZ MILLER, GEORGE REEDER, LAINIE KAZAN and ROYCE WALLACE ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or BARBRA STREISAND fan. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
