The Landmark philosophy is now and
always has been to develop a program
that produces reliable A.I. proven sires.
These sires are ones that transmit maxi-
mum profitability, achieved through a
balance of high milk, fat and protein yield.
Further increasing their value is a sound
combination of type traits that provide for
workability, wearability and increased
sales value.
An integral part of the Landmark pro-
gram is to offer expert technical assistance
to our customers. This assistance comes
from a professional staff of good cow
people who are committed to helping
dairymen breed better and more profitable
COws.
The first step in our total program is
achieved by a rigid young sire selection

from the President ana
process. Our Regional Sire Analysts have
a keen eye for cows and combine their
great cow sense with the latest in genetic
selection principles. Taking it one step
further are Landmark's strict semen
quality standards which allow only young
sires producing high quality, fertile semen
to be tested through the GO Program.
Our young sires are progeny tested na-
tionwide to eliminate feeding, manage-
ment and regional bias.
Landmark sires must pass the "acid test"
before graduating into the proven sire
lineup. Graduates of the GO program
must have exceptional production figures;
sound, functional type and pass the
toughest test of all; the approval of the
fine genetics staff at Landmark.
Landmark sires are now being housed
at Watertown, Wisconsin in a newly
constructed, modern facility. This facility,
along with a new, state of the art labora-
tory complex, are the finest in the industry
and are staffed with loyal, hard working

and the value of the GO program are
characterized by the growing numbers of
sires with second crop A.I. daughters. Sires
like JOE, BANNER, BOOKIE, NORRIS and
FRED are coming through with high rank-
ing, high repeatability proofs. The increase
in world wide demand for these bulls and
the remainder of the Landmark proven sire
line up are proof that the public demands
reliable A.I. proven sires that will transmit a
profitable balance of high production and
type. Landmark sires are being used to
sire embryos and young sires for
test programs throughout the world.
Landmark is committed to sires, pro-
grams and services that provide your herd
with the genetic level to achieve a maxi-
mum degree of profitability from cows you
are proud to own and like to milk.
